Privacy & Terms

Last updated 24 June 2026

Roomie is an early-stage project exploring a remote-controlled phone and tablet stand for family video calls. The product is not yet available for purchase. This page explains what information we collect when you join our early-access list, how we use it, and the terms of an early-access reservation. We've tried to keep it plain and honest.

The short version: if you join the early-access list, we collect your email and a few answers about how you'd use Roomie, so we can gauge interest and contact you if we build it. We don't sell your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing gfmphillips@gmail.com.

Who we are

Roomie is run by an individual founder, based in the United States. For anything related to your privacy — questions, requests, or to have your data deleted — contact us at gfmphillips@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you submit the early-access form, we collect:

Our form provider (Netlify) also automatically records technical details with each submission: your IP address, browser and device information, the page you came from, and the time you submitted.

We also use analytics and advertising tools to understand how people find and use this page — currently Google Analytics 4, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and Google Ads. These tools may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser, and the actions you take on the page. They help us measure whether there's real demand for Roomie.

How we use your information

We use it to gauge interest in Roomie, to contact early-access members about the project, and — only if you agree — to invite you to a short interview. We use the analytics and advertising tools above to measure demand and reach people who might be interested. We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for unrelated purposes. We do rely on a few service providers who process data on our behalf: Netlify (hosting and form storage), Google (analytics and ads), and Meta (ads measurement). These providers handle your data under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep early-access information only as long as this project is active. If we decide not to build Roomie, or if you ask us to delete your data, we'll remove it.

Your choices

You can always:

California residents

If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request that we delete it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of it. We don't sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email gfmphillips@gmail.com — we won't treat you differently for asking.

Children

Roomie's early-access page is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this page

As the project develops, we may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
